Anchor Bull Company, LLC, is a partnership that was formed in April of 2006. Nestled in the mountains of southwest Virginia sits the beautiful facility that Anchor Bull Company calls home. The inventory of cows includes over 250 original Anchor Cows and 50 Boyce Knox Cows. Since its inception Anchor Bull Company has bred to bulls whose bloodlines consist of Houdini, Panhandle Slim, Coppertop, Western Wishes, Spook, Whitewater, Real Deal, and White Sports Coat. With the combination of all of these great bloodlines, partners Jeff Owens, Tommy Shrader, Kenneth Hart and Waylon Hart are very excited about the future of Anchor Bull Company.

During the summer of 2006, Anchor Bull Company purchased several bulls including #104 Encore, #288 Gee Wally and #215 Dip Dog . These premiere animals are leading our procession into the Professional Bull Riders (PBR) Built Ford Tough Series. Beginning in January of 2007, at Madison Square Garden, Anchor Bulls have been consistently representing Anchor Bull Company by bucking off some of the world’s greatest cowboys, providing some of the winning rides, and consistantly producing high bull marks. Other bulls from Anchor Bull Company that have and are performing well in in all levels of PBR competition are: #206 Bugs Bunny, #702 Second Wind, #127 HazMat, #135 Captain and #13 Physical Ed.

In addition to the 22,000 acres of land owned by Anchor Bull Company, we have purchased a 200 acre breeding facility in Rich Valley, Virginia which is about 25 miles north of Bristol Virginia. Beautiful rolling pastures, plenty of pens and indoor facilities encompassing 2.5 acres, give the opportunity to offer the boarding, handling and training of Futurity and Classic bulls for those looking for opportunities in the business. Anchor Bull Company offered SEBRA sanctioned bull ridings every week all winter in Abingdon, Virginia in order to ensure a place for bulls and riders to get outs during the cold of winter.

Since our inception, we have had a whirlwind of blessings come our way. Hard work, steadfast determination, foresight, reliability and attention to detail continue to be our greatest assets, while our integrity will ensure our longevity in the bull business.
